Carolina Federal Credit Union (CFCU), is a federally chartered non-profit financial cooperative. We operate under the rules and regulations of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the United States Government. CFCU is owned by its members. Originally chartered in 1969 to serve the employees of Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation, we have expanded our field of membership through the years and we now serve employees and retirees of multiple companies and their immediate families.  Also we expanded our charter to include anyone who lives, works, or worships in Gaston or Cleveland County.

The CFCU board of directors serves without pay. These dedicated volunteers bring years of personal and professional experience to their positions as the policy-making body of the Credit Union. This is experience that is beyond a monetary value.

We are dedicated to satisfying the needs of our members while offering a wide range of financial products and convenient services in a financially sound manner. Our competent, courteous staff is committed to serving our members and to the credit union philosophy of "Not For Profit, Not For Charity, But For Service". We recognize the traditional value of respect for the individual and the importance of fiscal responsibility.
