Being a member of a credit union has many perks.  First of all, we are a non-profit organization.  We are more interested in facilitating the financial needs of our members than trying to secure large returns for our company.  Our members control facets of our operation and this is one of the things that make us unique. 

Membership of Carolina Federal Credit Union is available to employees and qualified retirees of our sponsor companies (list of sponsor companies) and their immediate family members.  We have expanded  our definition of an immediate family member to include spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren and anyone living in the household of a member.  Once you join the Carolina Federal Credit Union you are a member for life ("once a member, always a member").  By being a member you join a group of fellow members who share a common bond, and a common interest- making the wisest use of their money.  We also have recently had a change in our charter.  We can now serve anyone who lives, goes to church or goes to school in Gaston or Cleveland County.
